Bottom of the ninth (edition)!

Congratulations to the Atlanta Braves on their first World Series win in this millennia (that means in the 2000’s, yeah?).

I love baseball. Most people don’t. So what better way to talk about baseball than in a newsletter we send to people who don’t know us and likely don’t want to hear about things they consider boring? I am brining staggering value to you this week.

It’s Friday! Let’s get stoked. The team has submitted some bangers this week, so brace yourselves.

Maybe this soundtrack follows you as you nab your first PSL of the year. Are those out yet? Maybe you’re getting some pumpkins to bring the farm to your house. I love the “ugly” ones – warty, often green, weird stems. But interesting and lovely.

Just like you. Actually, I don’t know if you have warts, so if you’re weirded out that I know about your secret wart, it’s just a coincidence.

OR IS IT?!

The Homies:

1. Jake Means
Marketing Coordination and a breath of fresh air.
Song: Deadmau5 – Word Problems
I am a huge EDM fan. Not for any of the party stuff, but because I truly love the way EDM is structured. It puts me into a happy place. It gives me goosebumps. I used to listen to this song in college while writing papers. It was fitting since papers are just word problems. Plus, my speaker and sub would make my door hinges rattle…. and that was cool too.

2. Abby Kramer
Medical Business Development and a whole lot more.
Song: MIKA – Love Today
OMG does this song get you in a good mood. Despite all the drama and division….everyone LOVE today!

3. Alyson Evans
CoCEO & Founder

Song: Pearl Jam – Just Breathe
Long slow breaths for this song, put on repeat when extra air is needed.

4. Heather Cantor
A dear homie
Song: Cyndi Lauper – Time After Time
Although the songs meaning is about a relationship, it takes me back to my 80’s childhood. There’s just something nostalgic about Cyndi’s beautiful range and raspy vocals that brings back the memories of edgy punk clothing, jelly bracelets and Aqua Net hairspray.

5. Genevieve Newton
Scientific Research Director
Song: Manchester Orchestra – Telegraph
Just a good tune on rotation on Alt Nation right now. No deeper meaning.

6. Heather Manning
Creative and Brand Management

Song: Matt Maeson – Hallucinogenics
Good song, enough said – just listen.

7. Michael Sierra
Video and Creative

Song: Moreart & IHI – Я буду ебать
TikTok made me do it. I love the fact that an old dude made this go viral.

8. Michael Benavidez
Fringe Representative – Texas

Song: The Beatles – Birthday
Don’t care what you say about John Mayer he is a damn good musician and guitar player.  And his rendition of this timeless CAUSE IT’S MY BIRTHDAY TODAY (NOV 5TH)!!!!  CELEBRATE WITH ME!!!

9. Thomas Buxton
Marketing Activations Manager
Song: Radical Something – Santa Barbara
The lyrics and melody of this song strike me as this sort of happy/sad nostalgia which I think is often how nostalgia hits. Having had some pleasant times in California in my younger days, this was an easy one to relate to and enjoy 🙂

10. Joe LaVacca
Lead Educator
Song: The War on Drugs & Lucius – I Don’t Live Her Anymore
We get an extra hour this weekend to take care of ourselves, find harmony and relax – let this song help while putting a little groove in your step.

11. Jill Magee
Fringe Representative – Wisconsin and Minnesota
Song: Need to Breathe – I Am Yours
Just fckn good : )

12. Anthony Caligaris
Co-CEO & Co-Founder
Song: Lord Huron – I Lied
I want my life to move specifically at this pace. I would frequent a bar if you had to literally walk around in slow motion and this song was playing on repeat. I can’t stop listening to it.

Anthony is convinced that there’s a better way. A better way to work, a better way to manage, and a better way to live. After 10 years pretending to be a sales dude, Anthony has spent the last 5 in management roles refining his perspective on how an organization should function. Excited to combine his background in economics with his desire for commerce to do good, Anthony is looking forward to Fringe creating a new business model focused on doing the right thing.
