Version 8 of the Vibes. V8V.

I dig how “V8V” looks. It’s like the 8 is flashing some peace signs. Good feels cruising into a Friday.

Not gonna lie, this week I almost forgot to ask the team for their songs. No worries though, they came through in a pinch. They care about your auditory health this Friday, how nice is that of them? What a good group.

Welcome to Friday! Hope you’re enjoying the weather turning a little bit. Beanie weather is starting, which means I get to care even less about how my hair looks. That’s a win.

Side note, I’ve heard that some people (like my wife) call beanies, “toboggans.” Just a heads up, if you call a knitted cap a “taboggan” you’re getting it wrong. A toboggan is a ” long narrow sled used for the sport of coasting downhill over snow or ice.”

The more you know.

The Homies:

1. Heather Cantor
One of our best friends, and our Community Spotlight
Song: Lenny Kravitz – What Goes Around Comes Around
Lenny drops some truth in this song in the style of Curtis Mayfield. To me, it represents how we need to be aware of what’s happening in the world because it’s ours and only we can change it!

2. Abby Kramer
Medical Business Development and a whole lot more.
Song: Rising Appalachia – Resilient
This song is a great pick when you’re feeling a bit run down and need a reminder of just how resilient you are!

3. Alyson Evans
CoCEO & Founder

Song: Bob Marley ft Lauryn Hill – Turn Your Lights Down Low
Hope you enjoy your weekend, ‘Let the moon come shining in.’

4. Genevieve Newton
Scientific Research Director
Song: Coldplay – Clocks
A great band and an awesome song.

5. Heather Manning
Creative and Brand Management

Song: Tracey Chapman – All That You Have is Your Soul (Live)
Good song, enough said – just listen.

6. Michael Benavidez
Fringe Representative – Texas

Song: John Mayer – Free Falling (Tom Petty)
Don’t care what you say about John Mayer he is a damn good musician and guitar player.  And his rendition of this timeless Petty song justifies that.  Enjoy or die.

7. Joe LaVacca
Lead Educator
Song: Rob Thomas and Santana – Move
Avery’s favorite song! (Editor’s note: Avery is Joe’s awesome daughter.)

8. Michael Sierra
Video and Creative

Song: Boz Scaggs – Sierra
My dad just sent me this song, guess he’s still hip!

9. Thomas Buxton
Marketing Activations Manager
Song: Blink 182 – Bored to Death
This week I don’t get to be unpredictable. Loved Blink all my life and this is one of those songs I can blast in the kitchen while I cook and probably stomp around enough to worry my neighbors. If that’s not healing, I don’t know what is.

10. Anthony Caligaris
Co-CEO & Co-Founder
Song: Little Stranger & The Elovaters – I’m Fine
I always love songs that sound super happy but cover some pretty deep topics. I think there’s healing in that – not letting our challenges overwhelm us. Perhaps mass amounts of introspection and effort actually prevent us from letting things go. Maybe sometimes it’s actually better to just let it float away.

Anthony is convinced that there’s a better way. A better way to work, a better way to manage, and a better way to live. After 10 years pretending to be a sales dude, Anthony has spent the last 5 in management roles refining his perspective on how an organization should function. Excited to combine his background in economics with his desire for commerce to do good, Anthony is looking forward to Fringe creating a new business model focused on doing the right thing.
