Second edition FFV playlist, coming in hot!
Music means many things to all of us. Some of us enjoy many styles, others have very specific tastes, but one thing’s for sure – music effects us. At Fringe, we even believe that Sound Heals.
Yeah – it’s that powerful.
So while we love what we do, the Sunday Scaries are behind us, and no one around here has a case of the Mondays, it’s always nice when Friday afternoon rolls around and you’re staring down the barrel of a weekend full of friends, family, and fun. Even if we’re in a pandemic.
With that in mind – we wanted to key you into what’s in our rotation. It’s a smorgasbord (man that’s not easy to spell) of genres, but that kind of nicely illustrates the diversity we’ve got on this team.
Below, some of our team members have given a little insight into why this song is at the top of their list. We hope you enjoy a look at what we’ve got cooking back here, and that you have an excellent weekend.
1. Abby Kramer
Medical Business Development
Song: Sammy Rae & The Friends – Kick it to Me.
Talk about a feel good Friday jam! No other words necessary!
2. Alyson Evans
CoCEO & Founder
Song: Matisyahu – One Day.
There are about five drum beats in this song that are a hard reset for me!
One day we’ll all be free, and proud to be under the same sun…
3. Thomas Buxton
Market Activations Manager
Song: Fly By Midnight – Vinyl.
This is in my weekly suggestions from Spotify and I just love it’s positive tone. It’s one of those songs you get way more into than you realized. I really enjoy that when I put on a playlist while I work.
4. Anthony Caligaris
Co-CEO & Co-Founder
Song: Bobby Hustle – Ego ft. Yungg Trip.
This song is a fun nearly tongue-in-cheek commentary on my internal ego. Sometimes we take life pretty dang seriously, but at the end of the day, how much control do we really have? Probably not much. We could all benefit from letting go a bit.
5. Heather Manning
Digital Design Wizard
Song: Lord Huron – Meet Me in the Woods.
No words needed. Just listen.
6. Michael Benavidez
Fringe Representative – Texas
Song: Queen – Don’t Stop Me Now.
No matter how shitty I feel, I hear this song and crazy dance in my car!
7. Glenna Haug
Song: Zach Bryan – Heading South.
This song reminds me of a perfect day. It starts relaxing and chill then explodes with excitement and fun. Then ends as quietly as it A song that can match any mood you’re in and ultimately defines all of us at this moment.
8. Heather Cantor
Sales and Operations
Song: Phil Collins – In The Air Tonight.
I first heard this song as a child from the radio of my Mom’s brand new 1984 Blue Ford Escort. I remember how much she loved the song and how it grew on me through the years.
Fast forward 30 years…this song became my backstage “get my mind right” “amp up” backstage song for the Mrs. America pageant.
Today, this song represents all the work, dedication and effort it takes to build something meaningful. Whether you’re building a business, working towards a healthier lifestyle, relocating etc. there is a ton of effort and build up on the front end before anything is born!
